Woman, 70, killed in Blue Earth County crash with a motorhome

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 70-year-old woman was killed when her car was in a collision with a motorhome in southern Minnesota on Friday afternoon.

The collision happened at the intersection of County Roads 11 and 50, near Minneopa State Park, at around 3:40 p.m., with Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office said.

A motorhome and a Chevy Malibu were in a collision, with the driver of the Malibu pronounced dead at the scene.

She has been identified as Mary Louise Blank, 70, of rural Nicollet.

The driver of the motorhome and his 9-year-old grandson suffered non-life threatening injuries. Another male passenger was unhurt.

Investigations are ongoing to find the cause of the crash, with KTTC reporting that north and southbound traffic at the intersection is controlled by stop signs.
