Woman, 73, died after being struck by vehicle outside Minneapolis VA Hospital

Authorities have confirmed that a woman who was among those injured in a crash outside the Minneapolis VA Hospital earlier this month has died.

LaVera Lamar Daisy, 73, of St. Paul, was one of three people injured when a vehicle crashed at the main entrance of the hospital on the afternoon of Feb. 17.

Another person suffered serious injuries in the collision, while the driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries.

Daisy died in Hennepin County Medical Center about four hours after the incident, with her death confirmed on Saturday by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.

Her death has been ruled as an accident, with the incident investigated by the Department of Veteran’s Affairs Police Department.
