A woman is in a critical condition after being shot as she hunted on her family's property, by a teenage boy hunting on an adjacent property.
The 33-year-old woman from Clear Lake, Wisconsin, is in a critical but stable condition in Regions Hospital in St. Paul after being shot in Clear Lake Township at 7:15 p.m Sunday.
She had been hunting and had just gotten down from the deer stand on her parent's property and started to walk through a field when she was shot.
The shooter is a 17-year-old boy from Star Prairie, Wisconsin, who was hunting on adjacent property at the time.
The woman was initially taken to Amery Medical Center before being transferred to St. Paul.
The incident is under investigation by the Polk County Sheriff's Department and the Wisconsin DNR.
