Woman critical after Duluth stabbing, man suffers broken leg

Police have released sparse details about the incident.

A woman is in a critical condition in a hospital after a stabbing incident in Duluth that also left a man with a broken leg.

The incident was reported at 6:03 p.m. Saturday, with Duluth police called to a home in the 500 block of West 4th Street, with the stabbing victim having been taken to a local hospital with critical injuries before police arrived.

At the scene police found the man with the broken leg, who said he suffered the injury during – as police describe it – "the commotion of the incident." He is being treated at a local hospital.

The suspect in the incident reportedly fled the scene and has not yet been identified, Duluth PD said.

The investigation is ongoing.
