Woman dies, 3 young children injured in rollover crash into ravine near Red Wing

A 27-year-old woman was killed and three children were injured in a rollover crash near Red Wing on Wednesday. 

Red Wing Police Department says the single-vehicle crash happened just after 3:30 p.m. on Spring Creek Road, just south of Graves Drive on the west side of Red Wing. 

The first officer on the scene found the vehicle resting on its roof in a ravine, at which point the officer heard voices coming from the vehicle. 

The Red Wing woman driving the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene and three children were extricated from the vehicle and transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Red Wing. 

The children are aged 7, 1-and-a-half, and 7 months old. Their conditions are unknown. 

The identity of the woman killed in the crash is being withheld until all family members are notified. 

The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
