A house fire in Little Canada has taken the life of one woman.

The fire was reported around 10:15 p.m. on Friday at a home in the 2500 block of Spruce Street, according to KARE11.

Fire crews from Little Canada, Vadnais Heights, Roseville and Maplewood all responded. They rescued a woman from the flames and administered CPR, but she later died at Regions Hospital, Fox 9 said.

KSTP reported that a family member confirmed the woman was 57-year-old Jody Seeger.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but officials say it does not appear suspicious, KARE said.

There were 51 Minnesota fire deaths last year, according to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.
