An unbelted motorist was killed in a rollover crash north of St. Cloud on Wednesday.
The Minnesota State Patrol reports that the accident involved a 2015 Nissan Rogue that "ran off the road to the left" on southbound Hwy. 25 near 163rd St. in Buh Township, causing the vehicle to roll and land in the ditch.
The driver, 41-year-old Cindy Ann Meyer, of Pierz, died in the crash. She was not wearing a seatbelt, the State Patrol said.
An 8-year-old boy in the vehicle was transported to St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls. The crash report doesn't include any information about the boy's condition.
The crash happened just north of Pierz around 6:15 p.m.
According to the Minnesota Office of Traffic Safety, there have been 69 deaths on Minnesota roads so far in 2020, which is up from 58 at the same point last year.
