A pedestrian who was standing by the fog line near the edge of a highway was fatally struck by a passing motorist on Monday morning in east-central Minnesota.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 36-year-old Alicia A. Storms, of Mora, was standing near the fog line of southbound Hwy. 65 at the Snake River bridge in Mora when she was fatally struck around 5:05 a.m.
Storms was pronounced dead at the scene, the State Patrol said.
The driver, a 26-year-old Princeton woman in a 2006 Ford Focus, was not injured.
Alcohol did not factor in the crash and road conditions were dry.
Hwy. 65 crosses over the Snake River on the south side of Mora.
