Woman found dead in St. Cloud apartment

Police have described her death as "suspicious."

St. Cloud police are on the scene of a "suspicious" death on the city's north side.

Officers were sent to the apartment building on the 1400 Block of 12th Avenue North at 9:21 a.m., according to a brief release. There. they found an adult woman dead inside an apartment.

Police provided no other details about the nature of the scene or potential suspects. Instead, the department said more information will be available "as the case develops."

It did however say that the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension's crime scene team was helping at the scene, which was cleared by 9:34 p.m.

The woman's body has been taken to the Midwest Medical Examiners Office for formal identification and autopsy.

More details are expected to be released on Thursday.
