Woman found fatally shot in downtown parking ramp

A woman was found dead in a downtown park ramp and a man suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a shooting Saturday night, according to Minneapolis Police Department.

Shots fired were reported just after 10:20 p.m., with police being told a man was down on 9th Street South between LaSalle and Hennepin Avenues.

They found the man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, and while "securing the area," officers found a dead woman in a nearby parking ramp.

No arrests have been made, with police saying the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.

It is the 26th homicide in Minneapolis so far in 2021. The victim has not yet been identified.
