Woman found shot outside Target Field after altercation

Minneapolis police are investigating an overnight shooting across the street from Target Field. 

The incident happened at 1:42 a.m. Saturday on the 400 block of 3rd Avenue N.

Per KSTP, police say the sound of the gunfire brought officers to the scene, where they found a woman with a gunshot wound to the leg.

She was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.

Police suspect the woman had been in a verbal altercation that "escalated into a shooting," FOX 9 notes.  

No one has been arrested yet.
