Minneapolis police have launched a sexual assault investigation after the discovery of an unconscious and partially undressed woman lying in a parking ramp.

According to a statement from the police department, witnesses found the victim lying near her running car in a parking structure Sunday night at 3001 Hennepin Ave South. That's the address of Calhoun Square, a popular shopping destination in the Uptown neighborhood.

Authorities say the woman, who was "possibly raped," did not remember anything.

At this time, there aren't any other details available, and there is no suspect description, the statement says. Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to call the Minneapolis Sex Crimes unit at 612-673-3081 "in reference to police case number 15-431483."

Homicide investigation

Meanwhile, the Minneapolis P.D. is also investigating a double homicide that occurred on Sunday night. Authorities say officers investigating a "shots fired" call in the parking lot of an apartment building on East Franklin Avenue found a car with three victims inside. Two were dead, and another was taken to the hospital.

According to WCCO, that person suffered "serious injuries." The station says police have not released any suspect information.

The medical examiner is expected to release the names of the victims.
