A woman was hurt when she was thrown from an ATV while riding in Crow Wing County on June 24.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened at 3:53 p.m. at the ATV trailhead on the 24000 block of County Road 2 in Roosevelt Township.
The woman, 52-year-old Suzanne Carlson of Maple Grove, had stopped for a break at the trailhead, and when she started driving again, she "rapidly accelerated and was thrown from the ATV," the sheriff's office says.
She wasn't wearing a helmet.
Carlson was airlifted by North Memorial Air Care to a hospital. The severity of her injuries is not known.
