Fliers of a missing parrot have been shared on social media and throughout south Minneapolis after a woman's longtime pet flew away.

Via Twitter, the bird's owner (@MinneapolisLiz) made a plea for help about her 17-year-old parrot named Max.

"Max, my 17 year old parrot, flew away from my backyard in South Minneapolis on Monday 9/23. Please help me find her, share, talk about it with folks, look in backyards, post a flyer," Liz wrote.

On Friday night, Liz said she's continue to search on Saturday.

"I don't think I have ever tried this hard to accomplish something in my life," she said in a tweet. "Pulling out all the stops to find her. Still no sign of her since Tuesday. Trying again tomorrow to search. "

The bird was last seen Tuesday around 5:30 p.m. on a roof near 43rd St. and S. 25th Ave.
