Woman returns home to find her house has exploded, husband injured

The explosion happened in Oak Grove, Anoka County, Friday evening.

A woman returned to her home in Oak Grove Friday evening to find it had been significantly damaged in an explosion, and her husband was injured.

The incident was reported just after 5:30 p.m. in the 4400 block of 214th Ave. NW. 

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office said a woman arrived home "to find the house damaged and suspected her husband was inside."

Responders were able to extricate him from the home and took him to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.

His condition is unknown at the time.

The cause of the explosion is still the subject of further investigation by the Anoka County Fire Investigation Team, Oak Grove Fire Department, and Anoka County Sheriff's Office.
