Woman robbed and assaulted at gunpoint in Waite Park, police say
A woman was robbed at gunpoint and assaulted by three suspects in Waite Park Sunday, according to police.
According to the Waite Park Police Department, officers were called to a parking lot at the 1400 block of 7th Street South on Sunday at around 11:30 p.m. A female victim told officers she was exiting her vehicle and when she was confronted by three men.
One of the men approached the driver’s side door and displayed a gun, while another opened the passenger door and put a gun to the woman’s back, according to the report. The third man told her to hand over her money.
The woman then reportedly began to scream, and one of the men hit her in the face with a gun. A resident of a nearby building opened their window to ask if she needed help, and the three suspects fled on foot. Police were unable to locate the suspects.
One of the suspects was described in the report as black, in his mid-20s and wearing dark khaki joggers, a hat and a red bandana. Another was described as black, in his mid-20s and wearing a black hoodie. The third was described as black, in his mid-20s with green eyes and wearing a black bandana and black winter hat.
