Woman robbed while having seizure on LRT, person of interest sought
Police are looking for the public's help in seeking three suspects involved in the robbery of a woman in need of medical attention on the light rail.
Metro Transit Police Chief John Harrington told KSTP that a 25-year-old woman was suffering a seizure when three young men took off with her bag and cell phone the day after Christmas around 7:30 p.m.
She was met by paramedics at the Lake Street/Midtown Station, the same place where the trio exited the train.
Police hope a surveillance image (above) will help them identify a person of interest in the case.
The man is described as black, 18 to 20 years old and approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall. On the day of the crime, he was wearing a white ballcap with a dark brim and a black hooded jacket.
Anyone with information should contact the Metro Transit Police TipLine at 612-349-7222.
