A man accused of breaking into a woman's Minneapolis home and sexually assaulting her is on the loose, WCCO reports.

Police say around 5 a.m. Tuesday, the suspect cut the screen of an unlocked window to get inside the home near East 31st Street and 18th Avenue South. After attacking the woman, the man fled.

He's described as a black man, about 20 to 30 years old, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. KSTP says the man had a goatee and was wearing a black hat and a black New York Knicks letterman jacket.

The Star Tribune reports the woman did not know the suspect. Police are referring to the incident as a "stranger attack."

Anyone with information is asked to call Minneapolis police at (612) 673-2881.
