Woman shot dead, another injured on St. Paul's West Side

It's the 26th homicide this year in St. Paul.

One woman was killed and another injured in a shooting in St. Paul Saturday evening.

The shooting was reported to St. Paul Police Department at 9:30 p.m., with officers sent to the 70 block of West Stevens Street.

They arrived to find a woman with a gunshot wound, and she died shortly after being taken to Regions Hospital.

As they searched the scene, police found a second woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her arm. She was also taken to Regions Hospital by paramedics.

At this stage, no arrests have been made and no suspects have been identified.

The victim's identity will be released at a later date by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's office.

It's the 26th homicide in St. Paul this year. There were 30 in total last year.
