Woman shot during reported 30-person fight in downtown building lobby
A large fight in the lobby of a downtown Minneapolis business ended with a woman suffering a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The incident happened just after 3 a.m. Sunday, according to Minneapolis Police Department. While the name of the business wasn't released by police, but the incident happened on the 600 block of 2nd Avenue South.
Police say it received report of a "fight in the lobby of the business involving approximately 30 people."
As officers were en route, the incident was upgraded to a shooting. While some fled when police arrived, officers did find a woman with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to "an extremity."
This victim was taken to HCMC for her wound, along with a man who also required medical treatment.
