A Lunds & Byerlys grocery store in Eden Prairie is open on Tuesday despite a car crashing through its entry doors on Monday night.

Eden Prairie police say the crash happened at 7:45 p.m. at the Lunds & Byerlys located at 970 Prairie Center Drive.

What happened? Police say a 76-year-old woman accidentally backed her 1998 Plymouth Breeze through the front doors and crashed into wall near the checkout registers.

They say the damage done is consistent with what a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed would've done.

Luckily, no one was injured.

"Lunds & Byerlys will remain open regular hours despite changes happening with our exit doors," the supermarket said in a Facebook post.

"Please be patient with us as repairs are made and thank you to everyone who has reached out with questions and concerns."
