Woman struck by semi on Hwy. 52 in Rochester
The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a crash in which a female was hit by a semi near Rochester on Wednesday afternoon.
The crash report says the incident happened at 1:30 p.m. when a vehicle headed south on Hwy. 52 pulled to the side of the road just to the north of 55th Street. At that point, a female got out of the car, ran onto the highway and was struck by a semi.
State Patrol Sergeant Troy Christianson told KTTC that the female was hit by the semi and thrown into the right lane of traffic. She was taken to Saint Marys Hospital with serious to life-threatening injuries.
