Woman, 18, identified as victim of fatal Minneapolis RV fire
The woman who died in a Sunday vehicle fire in Minneapolis has been identified.
According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, Akiea Deshay Green, 18, died in an RV fire in the parking lot at 1127 West Broadway Ave, home of the Hook Fish & Chicken restaurant on the city's north side.
The RV was found engulfed in flames at around 6 a.m., according to multiple reports. Firefighters found the woman’s body inside the vehicle after extinguishing the fire.
Green died of inhaling products of combustion and thermal injuries, according to the Medical Examiner’s report. Minneapolis Fire Chief Bryan Tyner initially told the Star Tribune that he has not heard anything to suggest the fire was suspicious in nature.
The incident is still under investigation. This is the second fire death in Minneapolis so far this year.
