Woman with 'obvious trauma' found dead in Minneapolis alley
A woman was found dead in an alley in Minneapolis Wednesday morning, prompting a homicide investigation.
Police and firefighters responded to the 3600 block of Knox Avenue North at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday, where they found the body of a woman believed to be in her 20s, according to Minneapolis police spokesperson John Elder.
"First responders noted obvious trauma to the body," Elder said.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene and began investigating to determine what led up to her death and where she died.
The medical examiner's office will release the woman's identity and the nature and cause of her death in the coming days.
