Police in Minnesota are investigating an apparent murder-suicide after two bodies were discovered at a house, one of which had been hidden in a duck decoy bag.

Carver County Sheriff Jim Olson says officers were called to the home at 920 Preserve Blvd., in Norwood Young America – about 25 miles west of Eden Prairie – just after 5 p.m. Wednesday after a roommate returned home to find a man dead in the garage.

Deputies arrived shortly after and found the man had died from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and upon searching the property, they also found the body of a woman.

According to a press statement from the sheriff's office, the woman had suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and her body had been "concealed in a plastic waterfowl decoy bag."

The Sheriff's Office and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension continue to investigate, but for now the case is being treated as a murder-suicide.

The identities of the pair have not been confirmed, but more information will be released as it becomes available.
