A Minnesota high school marching band is going to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in a special way by traveling to New York City to take part in the Big Apple's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, the Woodbury Patch reports.

For its part, the Woodbury High School marching band is going to bring a bit of Minnesota-themed music with them, as they're set to play John Philip Sousa's "Minnesota March" and the Owl City/Carly Rae Jepsen song "Good Time."

Owl City was formed in Owatonna by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Adam Young.

The Big Apple's St. Patrick's Day Parade will actually take place March 16, a day before the actual holiday.

The Patch says the Woodbury marching band is scheduled to step off at 12:50 p.m. Central time, and reach television cameras between 1:30-2 p.m.

The community is sending off the band Thursday night at the Woodbury High School auditorium.
