Looking for employment? If you go into a Whole Foods store today, you could walk out with a new job.

The grocer is hosting a National Hiring Day at all of its U.S. stores on Thursday, with a goal of hiring 6,000 new team members.

To apply, all you have to do is walk into your local Whole Foods location and receive an interview. Some candidates will be hired on the spot, the company says.

The event includes full-time and part-time opportunities for both seasonal and permanent positions, including cashiers, culinary experts and prepared foods specialists.

Whole Foods says it offers competitive pay and benefits, plus a 20 percent in-store discount.

Just think – by the end of the day, you could be on your way to scoring cheap organic produce and health and dental insurance.

The hiring extravaganza comes about five months after online retailer Amazon bought Whole Foods for $13.7 billion.

How to prepare for the interview

Resumes aren't required, Whole Foods says, but having one helps recruiters understand your background better – which increases your chances of landing a job.

Dress casually and be ready to talk about your work history and what makes you a good fit for Whole Foods.

Each store will have different areas where they’ll conduct the interviews. When you get there, look for signage instructing candidates where to go. Or call your local store for specific instructions.
