Police are hunting for the shooter responsible for a young man's death in West St. Paul Tuesday morning.

West St. Paul police were called to the Oakdale Terrace apartment complex at 1940 Oakdale Avenue around 11 a.m., after a report of a shooting.

When they arrived, they found the 21-year-old man dead in the apartment. A friend who had gone there to visit him found the body.

Police are describing the man's death as a "suspicious shooting" and haven't officially identified him.

But family told FOX 9 the victim is Lawrence Renfro, and say he was shot to death.

The TV station also says that a toddler was found inside the apartment when police arrived, though it's not clear if they were in the apartment when the shooting happened.
