Young man killed by pickup while walking on dark Carver County road

The 20 year old was from Norwood Young America.

A man died in Carver County earlier this week when he was struck by a pickup truck as he walked along a road.

The collision happened around 9:47 p.m. on County Road 31 in the area of 134th Street in Young America Township.

A pedestrian, a 20-year-old from Norwood Young America, was hit and killed by a pickup truck that was traveling southbound.

The driver of the pickup, a 27-year-old man from Hamburg, Minnesota, stopped and called 911.

The collision is being investigated by the Carver County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol.

The victim's identity will be released at a later date.
