A head-on crash in Isanti County Tuesday evening claimed the life of a 26-year-old woman.

According to the Isanti County Sheriff's Office, a vehicle driven by Kelsie Mae Timm was eastbound on County Road 8 when her vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with another vehicle west of Zuni Street Northwest in Stanford Township.

Timm, of Zimmerman, was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders from the sheriff's office and Isanti Fire District. The driver of the other vehicle, a 22-year-old man from Hampton, was taken a local hospital and later released.

An online fundraiser to help pay for Timm's funeral expenses has been launched, and as of 10 a.m. Thursday has generated more than $2,600 of an $8,000 goal.

The GoFundMe says Timm loved spending time with her 4-year-old daughter, especially on trips to the park, drawing pictures and doing makeovers together.

Any remaining funds beyond funeral costs will go into an account for her daughter.

The crash happened at approximately 6:23 p.m. about five miles north of St. Francis.
