Youths arrested in connection with Bloomington tire slashing

Their cases will be forwarded to the county attorney for charges.

Police say they have arrested two juveniles in connection with the vandalism of dozens of cars in Bloomington.

Bloomington PD says the juveniles were booked and released on Tuesday night on charges of probable cause felony damage to property.

They are alleged to have slashed the tires of more than 30 cars in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 8680 Old Cedar Avenue.

Residents of the Cedar Commons Apartments awoke on Sunday morning to find their vehicles had been damaged overnight.

At least one resident's car had been keyed, judging by pictures they posted on Facebook.

Police had released surveillance footage of the two suspects entering a building, as they sought the public's help identifying them.

The Hennepin County Attorney's Office will decide on formal charges against the minors.
