1998: The Gandolfini-Vikings connection

Should another day go by without tipping our cap to the great James Gandolfini, who passed away this week at the way-too-young age of 51?

Forget about it.

SB Nation's Daily Norseman blog points out that one of Gandolfini's many roles involved the Minnesota Vikings.

He was the narrator for the 2009 NFL Network special "The Missing Rings" -- which included the story of the 1998 Vikings, one of the best teams in NFL history not to win a Super Bowl.
