Girls' hockey tournament: Minnetonka shutout Roseville to defend its 2A state title
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Junior Sydney Rossman stopped all 23 shots Saturday night to help push Minnetonka to a 3-0 victory over Roseville to win another 2A girls hockey state championship.
Breck defeated South St. Paul in double overtime for the 1A championship title. Leah Schwartzman netted the game winning goal 10:55 into the sudden-death overtime. That lead Breck past South St. Paul 3-2 to claim the 1A state girls hockey tournament championship game Saturday afternoon. Minnetonka goes for a repeat against Roseville in the 2A title game Saturday night at the Xcel Energy Center.
