State hockey: Edina, Hill-Murray to play for 2A title; STA, Hermantown in 1A
Class A Championship: St. Thomas Academy vs. Hermantown
Hermantown narrowly defeated Breck in double overtime at the boys' state hockey tournament in St. Paul. Sophomore Zach Kramer put a shot low to the stick side to win it, 4-3.
The Hawks will play their fourth straight state title game -- all losses -- and third straight against St. Thomas Academy, who crushed East Grand Forks, 11-0. The Cadets have outscored its opponents 23-0 through two state tourney games. Saturday's Class A championship games starts at noon.
Class AA Championship: Edina vs. Hill-Murray
Edina will play for an 11th state championship after coming from behind to beat Duluth East, 3-2 Friday night. Duluth East scored first but Edina rallied for three, third-period goals.
Hill-Murray topped Wayzata, 2-1 to advance to the title game. The Pioneers scored twice in the final period to complete the comeback.
