Wild seek revenge against Oilers in rematch

The Minnesota Wild face the Edmonton Oilers Sunday night for what is expected to be a brutal game at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. The Associated Press says Minnesota will aim for its 19th home victory in 20 matchups against Edmonton.

The puck (or should we say gloves) drops at 7 p.m.

It's their first matchup since Oiler winger Taylor Hall sidelined Wild forward Cal Clutterbuck with a nasty hit about two weeks ago. Hall later received a two-game suspension from the National Hockey League.

Clutterbuck, who will miss his fifth consecutive game, was placed on injured reserve last week as he recovers from a severe thigh bruise.

The Star Tribune's Michael Russo says Hall will not skate during Sunday night's game against the Wild because of a sore hamstring.

Meanwhile, the Pioneer Press notes former Wild defenseman Nick Schultz will return to the X for the first time as a visiting player with the Oilers.

Minnesota fell a goal short in a 3-2 loss at Anaheim on Friday night.
