Tartan (6-0) is among the six undefeated teams left in Class 5A.

Only seven teams dropped from the undefeated ranks in Minnesota high school football last week, meaning there are 40 teams with perfect records entering Week 7.

Class 6A: 1 undefeated

  • Wayzata (6-0)

Make it one undefeated team remaining in the state's largest class, as the Wayzata Trojans moved to 6-0 with a 38-3 win over rival Minnetonka. The lone other undefeated team entering Week 6 was Lakeville North, which lost to city rival Lakeville South.

Class 5A: 6 undefeated

  • Owatonna (6-0)
  • St. Thomas Academy (6-0)
  • Tartan (6-0)
  • Robbinsdale Armstrong (6-0)
  • Elk River (6-0)
  • Bemidji (6-0)

No changes here as all of last week's undefeated teams won. All six could finish the regular season with perfect records since none of them face each other.

Class 4A: 8 undefeated

  • Winona (6-0)
  • Hutchinson (6-0)
  • Marshall (6-0)
  • Simley (6-0)
  • Fridley (6-0)
  • SMB (6-0)
  • Benilde-St. Margaret's (6-0)
  • Detroit Lakes (6-0)

There were nine undefeated teams in Class 4A entering Week 6, but Mound Westonka lost 31-6 to Fridley, who is now one of eight unbeaten teams in 4A. The team with the biggest challenge in Week 7 is Simley, who goes up against undefeated 5A power Tartan.

Class 3A: 6 undefeated

  • Stewartville (5-0)
  • Jackson County Central (6-0)
  • Cannon Falls (5-0)
  • Annandale (6-0)
  • Albany (6-0)
  • Pierz (6-0)

Breck, Mora and Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton all dropped from the unbeaten ranks last week. Breck fell 14-0 to St. Agnes, Mora lost in overtime to Moose Lake-Willow River, and Dilworth-Glydon-Felton lost 20-14 at home to 4A power Detroit Lakes.

Class 2A: 5 undefeated

  • Caledonia (6-0)
  • Lewiston-Altura (6-0)
  • Minneapolis North (6-0)
  • Concordia Academy (6-0)
  • Barnesville (6-0)

One more team dropped from the unbeaten ranks as Staples-Motley lost 22-6 to Pillager. By the way, St. Agnes (5-1, allowing 3.5 points per game) is in the same section as Minneapolis North and Concordia Academy, which at the rate things are going could finish as the toughest sections in 2A.

Class 1A: 6 undefeated

  • Blooming Prairie (6-0)
  • United South Central (6-0)
  • Springfield (6-0)
  • BOLD (6-0)
  • Minneota (6-0)
  • Carlton/Wrenshall (6-0)

Upsala/Swanville was the only undefeated team in 1A to lose last week, falling 30-18 at Browerville/Eagle Valley.

Class 9-Man: 8 undefeated

  • LeRoy-Ostrander (5-0)
  • Ogilvie (5-0)
  • Renville County West (5-0)
  • Mountain Lake Area (5-0)
  • Hancock (5-0)

  • Win-E-Mac (5-0)
  • North Central (5-0)

No changes in 9-Man as all eight undefeated teams won last week.
