Maybe your friends aren't into football (horrors!) or perhaps you are new to the Twin Cities. If you want to watch Super Bowl LII, you don't have to do it at home with only a Hot Pocket and a six-pack for company

Here are five places where hanging out to watch the game on your own will come naturally.

Punch Bowl Social
The game room for grown ups, Punch Bowl Social offers plenty of distractions for entertainment between plays, so you won't feel awkward when everyone else is high-fiveing or celebrating with rounds of shots. Or, jump into a game of ping -pong or shuffle board and make some new buds. These are just a couple of the many diversions threatening to take your eyes off of the screens on game day [SB deets].

Up Down
Pizza, beer, pinball. They're the three things they do at Up Down, and they do them well. On Sundays, Up Down offers a six pack of beer and a pound of tokens for $25, enough to keep anyone busy for an entire afternoon, even four hours of football. Keep your eye on the game while feeding coins into slots and popping tops on cans, and you'll scarcely remember it's just you, brew, and balls. [SB deets]

Mercury Dining Room and Rail
Downtown's best happy hour spot has a jovial, come-as-you-are vibe and a convenient location just off the light rail line (hence the name). This "modern neighborhood bistro" has a little something for everyone, from burgers to bolognese. A big, open kitchen lets you spy on the chefs as they toss your truffle fries, and a boisterous bar will have you making new drinking buddies in no time. Or, just post up in a corner and keep your eyes tethered to the screen. They'll be serving a limited menu on game day, but they've informed us that it will still be one of the "most extensive menus in downtown" being served that day.

Eli's
The sort of perfect watering hole that's both a neighborhood haunt and a destination, Eli's screams instant comfort. It doesn't lean too far in any direction, and lands a pitch-perfect message of "you're welcome here." The bartenders are friendly, the food is from scratch and fantastic (check the specials board for the days best) and the beer is abundant. Regular service on Super Bowl Sundays reflects their (awesomely) regular style. Two locations-- downtown Minneapolis and Northeast Minneapolis.

Bunny's
If you don't have friends while walking into Bunny's, you will by the time you leave. A beloved name in drinking, gaming, and bar food-ing since the '30s, everybody's been to Bunny's a time, or two, or two thousand. A nightly complimentary taco bar with the purchase of a beverage may have something to do with it. As does super- chummy staff and patrons who come to have a good time, every time, nothing more (and nothing less.) The place is practically wallpapered with screens, and NFL players have been known to make the place their very own home bar. Two locations-- St. Louis Park and Northeast Minneapolis.
