Section final week in high school hockey is arguably the most exciting time in prep sports in Minnesota, and the first night of championship matchups didn't let the State of Hockey down as six teams punched their ticket to prestigious state hockey tournament.

The highlight of Wednesday was a rare overtime penalty shot that ended the Section 6AA final between Blake and Benilde-St. Margaret's. We'll let the video do the talking.

Here's how each section stands in Class AA and Class A.

They play at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Rochester Rec Center.

Section 2: Eden Prairie 3, Chaska 2
