Aaron Rodgers 'sad' after Packers dump Jordy Nelson

The walls appear to be crumbling in Green Bay.

The walls appear to be crumbling in Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers doesn't seem to happy about it.

The latest misery-maker from Lambeau was the front office's decision to release star wide receiver Jordy Nelson on Tuesday – a decision that Rodgers said makes him "sad."

"Hard to find the right words today to express what 87 means to me," Rodgers wrote on Instagram. "No teammate exemplified what it means to be a packer quite like him. From living in GB full time, his incredible contributions to the city, state, and region, to his consistent, reliable play on the field. Definitely a sad day and the toughest part of this business. There will never be another quite like white lightning."

Rodgers also liked Rich Eisen's tweet that tore down a tweet by Sports Illustrated that said the Packers were signing a Super Bowl-caliber tight end, Jimmy Graham, while releasing Nelson.

" The Packers have done the impossible, they have no cap space and a bad roster," said Fox Sports' Colin Cowherd, according to the Vikings subreddit.

This isn't the first time the Packers have irked Rodgers in 2018.

Aaron Rodgers isn't happy with the Packers right now

In February, Rodgers went on ESPN Radio and said he didn't like that he wasn't consult with him before getting rid of quarterbacks coach Alex Van Pelt.

But maybe money will talk when it's time for Rodgers to talk contract extension with Green Bay. He still has two years left on his current deal, but USA Today's PackersWire speculates that the fully guaranteed deal Kirk Cousins is getting with the Vikings could lead to an even bigger fully guaranteed contract for Rodgers in Green Bay.
