Aaron Rodgers: 'I think I'm on the back 9 of my career'

Aaron Rodgers is entering his 13th year in the NFL, which begs the question: How long will he play?

"I think I'm on the back nine of my career, but I think I'm just starting the back nine," Rodgers told NFL.com. "This will be my tenth year starting – I got to sit for three years. I'm not maybe the typical 13-year pro having the opportunity to sit for three years and not take the wear and tear to learn the game at a slow pace behind one of the greatest to ever do it. So that helps my longevity, I think."

Don't worry, Cheeseheads. Your beloved quarterback isn't planning on hanging it up any time soon.

"I feel as good as I've felt in a long time," he said. "I do feel like I'm in better shape now than I was 10 years ago as a starter. I think because education is out there about eating right and taking care of your body better in the offseason. It's not the heavy olympic lifting now, it's more position-specific lifts and also really thinking about your diet and how it affects your performance. Because the literature and the education has caught up, I think it allows guys to play longer, especially at my position."

Rodgers said that as long as he stays with the Packers he'd like to play 7-10 more years and "hopefully win a couple more championships."
