More than 30,000 snowmobile enthusiasts from around the world are in northern Minnesota this weekend for the 21st annual Amsoil Duluth National Snocross, WDIO reports. The event started in 1992, which is reportedly the longest running snocross in the world.

The three-day event, which wraps up on Sunday, generates about $5 million for Duluth businesses. Organizers told the Northland NewsCenter the number of competitors at the Spirit Mountain event is the highest in roughly 10 years.

The Duluth News Tribune went behind-the-scenes of the action to get an up close look at Team Monster Energy/Arctic Cat.
