Andrew Sendejo suspended 1 game for that brutal Mike Wallace hit

Wallace's helmet went flying, and he left the game with a concussion.

Remember that brutal hit Mike Wallace took in the opening minutes of the Vikings' win over the Ravens?

This one:

After which the former Viking, out of the game because of a concussion, awkwardly stalked the sidelines in search for his helmet?

Yeah, Andrew Sendejo is being suspended for it.

The NFL Monday announced Sendejo is being suspended for one game, without pay, for violating "safety-related rules" in the Baltimore game.

That means the 30-year-old safety will miss next week's (very early, at least in Minnesota time) game against the lowly Cleveland Browns. He'll be able to return to the Vikings' active roster the next day, Oct. 30.

Sendejo was penalized for unnecessary roughness on the hit, and the Ravens got a field goal from the drive.

Sendejo said after the game he wasn't trying to hurt Wallace, the Star Tribune reports. The NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says Sendejo will appeal the suspension.

This is Sendejo's eighth year in the NFL, and his seventh with Minnesota. He's started every game he's played in since the 2015-16 season, many of them opposite Harrison Smith.

Sendejo has 3 interceptions, 9 passes defended and 128 tackles during that time.
