The Minnesota Twins dropped their fourth straight game Wednesday night, falling to the Los Angeles Angels 5-2 in Anaheim.

While the Twins losing streak continued, it was the seventh straight victory for the red-hot Angels. It is also the ninth straight time the Angels have beaten the Twins.

Chris Iannetta had another big night to lead the Angels. He homered in the second inning, his second home run in as many nights and finished 2-for-4 at the plate.

Kole Calhoun drove in a pair of runs, he was 3-for-4 on the night. Johnny Giavotella was on base every time he was at the plate as he 3-for-4 and scored three runs.

The Twins got young slugger Miguel Sano back from his ankle injury tonight, but not even his young, powerful bat was enough to wake up the Twins offense. Sano was 0-for-3 with a couple of walks.

It wasn't a thing of beauty for Twins starter Mike Pelfrey (5-7). He labored through six innings of work, giving up nine hits, four runs (two earned) while walking and striking out one. He was tagged with the loss.

The only Twins runs came in the top of the third, on a two-run single from Brian Dozier to score Danny Santana and Aaron Hicks, giving the Twins a brief 2-1 lead.

Santana was 2-for-3 with a run scored, while Hicks also was 2-for-4 with a run scored.

However, the Angels came back with two more of their own in the bottom of the third to reclaim the lead and it stayed that way the rest of the night.

C.J. Wilson (8-7) picked up the win tossing five innings and holding the Twins to two runs. While Houston Street picked up the save, the 300th of his career.

The series wraps up on Thursday afternoon. The Twins will send Ervin Santana (1-0) to the mound against Angels right-hander Garrett Richards (10-6).
