First, Michigan-Minnesota at the Barn. (That didn't go so well, but it was a pretty wild scene.)

Now, it's North Dakota-Minnesota at Mariucci Arena.

The arch-rivals would normally fill that building, but tonight's series opener also marks the end of an era. It's the final weekend the two teams will meet as WCHA foes in a regular season.

As Fox Sports North points out, the college hockey rivalry stretches back to the 1947-48 season, with Minnesota leading the overall series 137-130-14.

And yes, good luck getting a ticket. Both games are sold out, with some seats going for hundreds of dollars on the secondary market.

As for the actual games at hand, the Gophers are ranked No. 1 in the country, the former Sioux are ranked No. 6. Both teams, however, are tied for third in the WCHA, looking up at current co-leaders, Nebraska-Omaha and Denver.
