Minnesota Twins 4

Houston Astros 16

It can't get much uglier than it did on Wednesday night as the Minnesota Twins were blown away by the Houston Astros 16-4 at Minute Maid Park in Houston.

1. Hughes hit hard again

It was another rough and ugly start for Twins starter Phil Hughes (1-5). Hughes lasted just two innings and gave up six runs, including a leadoff home run to Jose Altuve.

2. Twins pitchers in shambles

Ervin Santana appears to be headed back from the disabled list and not a moment too soon. The Twins pitching staff is struggling at nearly unprecedented levels.

After giving up 16 earned runs on 14 hits, including three home runs and walking seven Twins pitchers have hopefully hit rock bottom.

3. Castro goes off

Astros catcher Jason Castro continued to have a big series. He finished the game 2-for-3 with 4 RBIs including his second home run in as many nights. He also doubled in the game.

Tweet of the Night:

It was just one of those nights.

Up Next:

The Twins have a much needed day off Thursday, but open a series in Chicago on Friday night. Ricky Nolasco (1-0) will start of Friday night against Chicago's Mat Latos (4-0).
