The Minnesota Lynx beat Indiana in Game 2 of the WNBA Finals 77-71 Tuesday night at Target Center.

The victory tied up the series at a game apiece as it shifts to Indiana for Game 3.

It was tightly battled contest throughout. Just as things started to look bleak for the Lynx in the second half, they got rolling.

The Lynx trailed by nine midway through the third, but they rattled off an 11-0 run to take a 56-54 lead with four minutes remaining in the quarter.

Minnesota stretched the lead to four at 63-59 by the end of the third.

Sylvia Fowles had a big night on her 30th birthday. She led the Lynx with 21 points on 10-of-13 shooting. It was Fowles who kept the Lynx in the game through the first half, while her teammates were struggling to hit shots.

After a slow start, Maya Moore got rolling in the second half. She finished with 19 points, but was just 2-of-7 from the floor in the first half.

Rebounding played a big part in the Lynx victory. Minnesota outrebounded the Fever 35-30; the effort included 15 offensive boards and gave Minnesota a big advantage in second-chance points.

Game 3 is Friday night in Indiana.
