We love this video clip in oh, so many ways. First of all, we honor the fan (presumably a Twins fan in Kansas City) who took the time to shave Joe Mauer's name and number into his back hair. Gross? Hitting into a double-play with the bases loaded is gross, my friends. This is art. One thing that threw us, however, is that announcer Dick Bremer didn't make a glib comment right off the bat while seeing this. If it were up to us, we would have said, "The Twins' pitchers in yet another hairy situation this evening..."

Things have changed for Joe Mauer
Last year at this time Joe Mauer wasn't doing a whole lot. This year the catcher says, "Every day I'm just, 'What do you want me to do today?' " He's worked out in all 12 spring practices since pitchers and catchers reported to spring training, and he will likely be in the Twins' lineup in the spring training opener on Saturday.
Video Vault: Joe Mauer, hair stylist
Joe Mauer takes part in a Head & Shoulders contest where he styled someone's hair. This is weirdly awkward and somewhat sweet at the same time. So, if Joe is your barber, and you're trying to create conversation, is it OK to say, "Hey, Joe, how come you never swing at the first pitch even though it's always a strike?" Just sayin...
