Matt Cassel will be out for a while.

Kyle Rudolph's status is up in the air.

Brandon Fusco left the game with a shoulder injury.

Chad Greenway has multiple injuries.

Josh Robinson has another hamstring injury.

Already down their best offensive player Adrian Peterson, who is away from the team while his legal troubles continue, the Vikings suffered a bevy of injuries in their 20-9 loss to the Saints on Sunday.

Cassel's season may be in jeopardy after suffering multiple fractures in his left foot (the Vikings.com photo above shows the play Cassel was injured on), opening the door for rookie Teddy Bridgewater to take over at quarterback. But fans might want to temper their excitement about what Bridgewater can bring to the offense until there's word from the team about the severity of injuries sustained by other key players.

By the time the clock hit triple zeros on Sunday, Minnesota was down three starters on offense, and a starter and one key defensive back on defense.

The Pioneer Press reports Fusco injured his shoulder. Greenway left the game with a rib injury. He was already playing with a broken hand.

The Star Tribune reports Rudolph will undergo an MRI on his groin today. The big tight end missed half of his 2013 season with a broken foot.

"Something popped," Rudolph said, according to Brian Murphy. "I've been battling it for a while."

Robinson, a key reserve in the secondary, left the game with a hamstring injury. Whether its the same hamstring that bothered him during training camp and the preseason is unknown.

Head coach Mike Zimmer will meet with the media later today. We'll provide updates if Zimmer provides them.
