Ben Carlson is the latest Minnesota high school basketball standout to commit to becoming a student-athlete at the University of Wisconsin.
Carlson, a 6-foot-9 forward from East Ridge High School in Woodbury, announced Wednesday that he's going to become a Wisconsin Badger. Carlson is rated as a 4-star recruit by 247 Sports, and he's ranked as the fourth-best player in the State of Minnesota in the Class of 2020.
Nationally, Carlson ranked 82nd overall. The top three ranked players in Minnesota's 2020 class are Dain Dainja, of Park Center (51st nationally), Dawson Garcia of Prior Lake (30th nationally), and Jalen Suggs of Providence Academy (10th nationally).
Carlson joins a long list of high school hoops stars to commit to the Badgers, and he joins Eastview's Steven Crowl as part of Wisconsin's 2020 recruiting class.
