Revere plans to bunt a lot this year

Revere says he can steal 80-90 bases

Ben Revere set a Twins rookie record on Monday when he stole his 31st and 32nd bases of the season. Luis Rivas had held the record with 31 steals during his rookie season in 2001. Revere now says he is capable of stealing 80-90 bases over the course of a full season.

Twins' Revere increased his arm strength by throwing footballs

Ben Revere says throwing a football in long toss sessions has helped his arm strength a lot. Revere is considered a weak-armed outfielder, but even manager Ron Gardenhire says Revere's throwing has been getting better. The 23-year old speedster joked that he's hoping he has an arm like Ichiro Suzuki now.

Clete Thomas starts fast with the Twins, Revere sent back to minors

Clete Thomas, who was claimed off waivers on Saturday, smashed a two-run homer and showed off his strong arm from the right field corner in his Twins debut on Sunday. His ability to play all three outfield positions allowed the Twins to send Ben Revere back to Triple-A Rochester. GM Terry Ryan says the move will allow Revere to continue to develop by playing every day.
